Havana

Havana is the capital city of Cuba located in the northern province of La Habana. It was founded in the early 1500 by early Spaniard explorers who migrated from Europe in search of space, religious and political freedom. Havana is the second largest Caribbean city with an estimated population of around 2 million people; the city distribution stands at around 2,970 individuals per square kilometer covering a total land mass of 721km squared.

Architectural designs of the city

Havana is a blend of diverse cultures that have spread root in the region over a period of time. Native Americans were the initial inhabitants of this city then later on Roman Catholic conquistadors arrived and started to build fortresses with Roman designs. Later on British took over the region at around 1762 and ruled it for a few months before officials signed a treaty to have Florida instead of Havana. The British left behind Avant-garde old fashioned buildings that are in existence even today. The cost of property at Havana varies depending on the architectural design and age. Real estate investors can purchase any building they can afford at the many monumental building auctions that take place in the city.

Background

History shows that Havana was once a base for early Spanish conquistadors who used the city as harbor and resting area while preparing to invade surrounding islands. Hernado Cortes’ used it as an entry point while invading Mexico. This Pearl City is adjacent to a natural harbor at the Mexican Gulf’s entrance. With convenient access to Gulf Stream region Havana serves as the major connector between Cuban and Mexican travellers traversing the Central American region. Property developers profit from building lodging facilities for visitors who are looking for places to spend the night as they continue with their daily activities.

Density distribution

Due to the compact density distribution housing is considered a precious investment in the city; many inhabitants are only interested with having a roof over their heads no matter the house’s size. As a bright real estate developer in Havana, you can construct cheap housing facilities for sale to other interested parties. It is very cheap to construct such houses since building materials like wood and adobe are readily available. Nevertheless, one should make houses that meet with standards set by the city council. Also, make sure that the construction is not done along a reserved area because it can later be destroyed by state officials.
